about me

My Mom told me that she first took me up Table Mountain when I was a baby – in her backpack. That backpack is still with me. I love mountains. I enjoy uphill. My mantra as I sweat my way uphill is “This is what I do”. One day - the day will come when I can no longer push uphill. That day has not come yet. Meanwhile my life is an attempt to be filled with optimism, family, friends, love, and adventure.

Everest Report 2009

1st April:, at Namche Bazaar in the Khumbu region. We had our first glimpse of Everest today, from afar, to the sounds of Queen in my iPod earphones. It was totally uplifting, and my spirits soared. We have walked for 2 days now, and are at Namche, the "capital" of the Sherpa's region.
